SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls School Superintendent Dr. Brian Maher wraps up fiscal year 2016 at today's school board meeting, just two weeks away from the start of another school year.
Board President Todd Thoelke says the district is right where it should be.
Thoelke says what the Board and Administration is most excited about is being able to increase pay across the board for staff. That's largely thanks to a half-penney increase in the state sales tax earmarked for teacher pay in the last legislative session.
Thoelke encourages parents to be involved in their child's education and take time to talk to teachers.
