SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A cyber tip has led to the arrest of 45-year-old Monte Bender of Tea for possession of child pornography.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says the Internet Crimes Against Children Division arrested Bender who faces ten years in prison if convicted.
Jackley says ICAC received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Expoited Children and found that there was child pornography and arrested Bender. Jackley says Bender is presumed innocent.
One count of possession of child pornography is a class 4 felony with a maximum penalty of ten years in the penitentiary and/or a $20,000 fine.
The case is being prosecuted by Lincoln County States Attorney Tom Wellman
