SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- At 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 708 N. Cleveland Ave.
Initial reports were that the building was on fire and that people were evacuating the apartment complex. Upon arrival, fire crews did a primary and secondary search of the apartment building. During the secondary search of the second-floor fire crews were able to rescue a family pet without injury.
SFFR personnel extinguished the fire in approximately 30 minutes.
There were no injuries.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 36 personnel, 8 fire trucks and 6 support vehicles.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
