SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- An accused hit-and-run driver in Sioux Falls has an unusual excuse.
The pedestrian at East Fourth Street and North Cliff was thrown up on the hood of his car and then to the ground, but the driver kept going Saturday afternoon.
Police Spokesman Sam Clemens says that after they found the driver, he claimed that "he didn't know what to do" after he hit the woman and that's why he drove away.
Clemens says alcohol or drugs were not involved. The only reason seems to be what the driver claims.
The woman was being treated for serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.
