SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Former Sioux Falls Fire Chief Jim Sideras will finally have his day in court this November on child porn possession charges.
The jury trial has been scheduled for the week of November 26th.
It's been more than a year since Sioux Falls was shocked by the fall of the popular Sideras. At a news conference in May 2017, then-Mayor Mike Huether struggled with the new reality.
"I ran 11 miles yesterday morning. I was hoping that would ease some of the thoughts that are running through my head. Ran 11 miles. Took my shower. And it did nothing..."
Sideras faces ten counts of possession. If found guilty on all counts, he could face up to 100 years in prison.
