SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Living golf legend Jack Nicklaus tees it up in Sioux Falls September 22.
The Golden Bear will be in a special nine-hole exhibition match, part of the Sanford International Golf Tournament. He'll cross clubs with Andy North and other big names, yet to be announced.
"...although I don't play much golf anymore, I'm excited to swing the clubs once again..." says Nicklaus. He says the Sanford International should have a tremendous reach on golf fans and the game itself in the Sioux Falls region.
The Sanford tournament is the first ever PGA Tour Champions event to be held in South Dakota.
It will be played at the Minnehaha Country Club the week of September 17-23 with a $1.8 million purse, featuring some of the greatest names in the game.
