WASHINGTON (KELO.com) -- After issuing a statement critical of President Trump's comments and behavior with Vladimir Putin yesterday, Sen. Mike Rounds spent time today explaining the President's remarks in Helsinki.
"He never said he believed Mr. Putin, to the best of my knowledge," Rounds said. "I think he said Mr. Putin was very strong in his statement. There's a big difference between the two. I think probably he has to delineate that a little bit better and make it clearer."
Also, in light of President Trump's news conference yesterday with Vladimir Putin, Sen. Mike Rounds says the United States needs to go on the offensive against those threatening our elections.
"Attack those places that are attacking us," Rounds said. "Take out those sites where they're launching, for lack of a better term, "cyber missiles" into the United States and into our allies' countries as well."
Rounds made the comments on Fox News this afternoon.
