SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Two children were assaulted by fireworks in Sioux Falls Tuesday evening.
"The kids were outside and there were two guys inside a car, and I believe they were in the parking lot at the time, and they starting shooting off fireworks at the kids." says Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.
Clemens says a boy, 13, was hit in the elbow, and a girl, 8, was hit in the head. Neither was seriously injured. Police have arrested one suspect Yona Sama, 19, and are looking for the other guy.
The police are not sure exactly what sort of fireworks were used in the assault in the 200 block of N. Cleveland Ave. - Clemens says possibly some sort of bottle rocket or Roman candle.
