SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Sioux Falls man is accused of holding a woman captive for six days in his apartment on South Norton Avenue.
"She said he ended up keeping her there for several days. He sexually assaulted her. He beat her...." says Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.
A few drinks at a local bar led to the woman's week-long nightmare. Clemens says she met the man at a bar, and they eventually went to his place on South Norton Avenue. The man finally allowed the woman to leave and she called police.
That's what all the fuss was about on South Norton Thursday night with the large police presence and bullhorns. They were arresting the man.
Kermit Lee Lewis, 59, has been charged with second-degree kidnapping. Clemens says sexual assault charges may follow.
