SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Activist Zach DeBoer was making a pitch to Sioux Falls City Council for a new official city flag, but he admitted he wasn't as organized as usual.
DeBoer said everything's been a blur lately because his wife just had their first baby daughter, but then again, his appearance before Council showed how important the flag issue is.
"Am I using my newborn daughter to persuade you to be on board for this? Yes!", said DeBoer to scattered chuckles.
The red, yellow, and blue unofficial flag has been around for a few years anyway, but now there's a concerted push to make it the official city flag of Sioux Falls.
Council is considering it, working with the city attorney's office to smooth out any legal or technical difficulties.
