SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Jerry Foy has a garage full of Craftsman tools.
"Our family has shopped at Sears for over 30 years," Foy said. "We've enjoyed all the variety they provided the Sioux Falls area."
Now Sears at the Empire Mall will be closing, along with 71 other Sears and K-Mart stores aroud the country.
Handy with hand and power tools, Foy is the kind do-it-yourselfer that Sears use to attract--guys and gals who made Sears their go-to place for new tools and other items.
Foy says he likes the personal service he gets at the Sioux Falls Sears store. He says online sellers like Amazon can't duplicate that.
However, he says it's hard for brick and mortar retailers to compete against Amazon and similar sites because of the even larger variety of goods they have--if you don't mind waiting a few days for them to arrive.
