SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The Sioux Falls School Board could consider up to 278 million dollars in potential building projects, as a way to handle the steadily-growing student population.

The District's Jeff Kreiter briefed the Facilities Task Force this week.  He says, "That number is probably the worst case scenario, so rest easy when you see that."

The Facilities Task Force is coming up with possible solutions.

Co Chair Vernon Brown says, "It comes down to three questions for us. What is the need, when do we need it, and how are we going to pay for it?"

The Task Force has a couple more meetings and then will bring its recommendations to the School Board.
