UPDATE 5: It's Over! TenHaken, Soehl elected

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- All the votes are in and Sioux Falls will have a new mayor, Paul TenHaken.

He defeated Jolene Loetscher by nearly 8,000 votes, 63 to 37 percent.

In the Central District Councilor race, Curt Soehl defeated Zach DeBoer about about 250 votes, 51 to 49 percent.

Both TenHaken and Soehl are newcomers to elected politics. They take office May 15. Also taking office will be new At-large Councilor Janet Brekke, At-large incumbent Councilor Christine Erickson, and incumbent Southeast District Councilor Rick Kiley.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- With 92 percent of precincts reporting, Paul TenHaken has a nearly 8,000 vote lead over Jolene Loetscher in the mayoral race.

In the Central District Councilor race, Curt Soehl continues to hold a 200 vote lead over Zach DeBoer.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- With over half of the precincts reporting, Paul TenHaken has a large lead over Jolene Loetscher in the mayoral race.

Curt Soehl has a moderate margin over Zach DeBoer in the Central District Councilor race.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Early City election results have mayoral candidate Paul TenHaken with a comfortable lead over Jolene Loetscher.

In the Central District Councilor race, Zach DeBoeer and Curt Soehl have traded leads through the evening. The latest tally had Soehh up by about 150 votes.
