SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – On Monday, April 23, the South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin repairing the bridge curb on the 10th Street overpass over Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained under the overpass on I-229 with the use of lane shifts through the work zone. Traffic on 10th Street will remain unaffected however, pedestrians will have to use the south side of the street from north Conklin Avenue to north Cleveland Avenue during construction.

Motorists using I-229 should use caution when proceeding through the work zone and be aware of the ongoing construction activities, lane shifts, suddenly slowing and merging traffic, equipment and personnel in the area. Traffic congestion is expected and drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes when possible.
