SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – The USHL’s Sioux Falls Stampede lost Game 2 in its opening-round playoff series with Lincoln 6-3 last night at the Premier Center. But Stampede has a chance to close out the series tonight at 7:05 against the Stars.
The winner advances to the Western Conference semi-finals against Waterloo.
Meanwhile, the two professional teams out of Minnesota find themselves in tough spots. The NHL’s Wild are down 3-1 to Winnipeg in the best-of-seven opening round series. The NBA's Timberwolves took it on the chin last night, losing to top-seeded Houston 102-82. This despite leading MVP candidate James Harden going just 2-for-18 from the field. Minnesota trails 2-0, with the series headed to Minneapolis for Game 3 on Saturday.
