SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Around 1:30 p.m., a man stole a Cadillac Escalade after stabbing the vehicles owner in the arm and was later arrested.
Chol Thon Deng, a 35 year old Sioux Falls resident, was arrested for 1st Degree Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Grand Theft.
This was in the 800 block of South Regal Place. After driving away in the stolen SUV a detective spotted the vehicle on West 12th Street and the carjacker fled at a high rate of speed on South Kiwanis Avenue.
The vehicle was later found abandoned near 24th Street and Williams Avenue. After an officer spotted the suspect near 28th Street and Lincoln Avenue, a K-9 tracked the suspect to a church nearby and he was arrested without incident.
