SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A daycare worker in Sioux Falls has been accused of abusing young children at the Boys and Girls Club toddler room.

Court documents allege abuse against three kids by Fanaye Eshetu Gebrekidan, 62, based on surveillance video.

The mother of a victim watched security cameras in the room of the daycare and noticed the worker struck her child. She reported this to police on Monday, April 2, 2018.

Court documents reveal that additional video reviews found that three children, all one year old, were abused at different times by the same worker.

In one instance, a video appears to show Gebrekidan dragging a crying child by the wrist for 20 feet.

Another appears to show the woman slapping a child's head, but she claims she was adjusting the blanket and did not strike the child. In one instance, Gebrekidan does admit that she was frustrated because a coworker was not helping with the children, but claims she does not remember the other instances happening.

Gebrekidan has been charged been charged with Abuse or Cruelty to a Minor.

This latest daycare abuse case follows on the heels of the child abuse case at the Little Blessings Learning Center in Sioux Falls. Two women were caught on surveillance video allegedly dragging, sitting on and otherwise abusing children.
