Prepare for more work on Arrowhead Parkway

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The City of Sioux Falls annouced that starting Wednesday, Arrowhead Parkway from Sycamore Avenue through Highline Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction.

The work is paret of Phase Two of the Arrowhead Parkway reconstruction project.

According to a release from the City, work on the project will include underground utility upgrades, street light and traffic signal upgrades, and widening Arrowhead Parkway to six lanes with a center median east of Sycamore Avenue through Highline Avenue. The City says contractor completed the intersection of Highline Avenue and Arrowhead Parkway in fall of 2017 and will complete the remaining portion of the project in 2018.

The City says the project is supposed to be fully open to traffic by late fall of 2018, with additional work occurring in the medians and outside the roadway in the spring of 2019.
