PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Interstate 90 is now open from Sioux Falls to Murdo.
The state opened the stretch from Mitchell to Murdo.

- Officials with the @sddot and the @SDPublicSafety have opened the remaining closed portion of Interstate 90 from Murdo to Mitchell.

PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Interstate 29 is now open for travel in South Dakota.
However, the Department of Public Safety warns that the Roads are extremely icy.
They say if you must travel, drive slow, do not use cruise, wear your seat belt, and leave extra space between vehicles.
The department reports via Twitter that crashes are occurring as people underestimate and overdrive conditions.
Interstate 90 remains closed from Murdo to Sioux Falls, both east and westbound.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- All five Sioux Falls community centers will be closed today due to inclement weather.
Tonight's evening programming and leagues will also be postponed, according to the City.
The community centers, programs, and leagues will resume operations on tomorrow (Wednesday), weather permitting.
Also, Great Bear Recreation Park remains closed today because of the bad weather.
The City says it will reopen when conditions improve.
Because of the bad weather, crews will be performing soil borings on 57th Street tomorrow.
The outside westbound lane on 57th Street between Tennis Lane and Oxbow Avenue will be closed after 9:00 a.m. and reopen at 4 p.m.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) - Last night's winter storm dumped 3.9 inches of snow on Sioux Falls, according to the National Weather Service.
All Sioux Falls Public Schools and Catholic schools are closed today due to the winter storm.
The City of Sioux Falls also declared a snow alert that began at 5:30 a.m. this morning. Plowing of emergency snow routes will continue until routes are clear. All vehicles parked on emergency snow routes are subject to ticketing and towing.
