SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) - - March Madness has hit Sioux Falls, and there will be a lot to choose from.

The Summit League begins play this weekend at the Danny Sanford Premier Center with the winner of the men’s and women’s tournaments getting an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The top seed South Dakota Coyotes start the Women’s Tournament on Saturday at noon against Fort Wayne, while second-seed South Dakota State takes on rival North Dakota State at 2:30 p.m.

Top seeded South Dakota State will start the men’s tournament Saturday evening against Western Illinois and second seed South Dakota will face Omaha in the nightcap.

But the Premier Center isn't the only host sight in Sioux Falls. The Sanford Pentagon will host 59 college post season games in 28 days. The Northern Sun tournament began Saturday and continues through Tuesday.

In addition to the Northern Sun, the NAIA DII men’s tournament and the NCAA DII rounds will also be played at the Pentagon. Then there are Skyforce games mixed in between, and indeed, March Madness has arrived.
