SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- The process to pick Landscapes Unlimited to run Sioux Falls golf courses was fair and square, and to suggest otherwise is "nonsense."
That is City Councilor Marshall Selberg talking to KELO.com News. He was part of the group that examined all the applicants.
"Emotion's kinda been the key word in this. I think we've gotten a lot off on that issue. We gotta kinda stick to the facts and the program and make the best decision we can. I hope we do that Tuesday."
City Council has deferred action on the proposed contract until next Tuesday, after Christmas. Some councilors think that, maybe, the current golf manager, Dakota Golf, should be given an extension. Selberg believes that there must first be a vote on Landscapes before any alternatives.
He just wants everyone to calm down.
"I think we need to get back to the facts. I think we are about three miles off in the weeds in some of this stuff, right now, " says Selberg.
