SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Eight separate victims had purses and other items stolen from their cars Tuesday.

Then about 3 a.m. Wednesday, officers discovered a car parked in a hotel parking lot near Russell Street and North West Avenue.

Police believed the car was connected to thefts from vehicles in Sioux Falls and Brookings.  A handgun was stolen from one of the cars in Sioux Falls. The majority of the cars had windows broken before items were stolen.

Police found three suspects were found in a room at the hotel.  A judge issued a search warrant for both the room and car.  Following the warrant, the detectives found the stolen handgun, numerous purses and other items that police believe connects the suspects to several of the thefts in Sioux Falls.

Police arrested 35-year-old Christopher Sharard Davis, 29-year-old Carlton Lewis Brown, and 32-year-old Tirrany Nicole Reddick – all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida . They were charged with felony possession of stolen property.  The charges relate to the crimes that happened in Sioux Falls.
