MURDO, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Friday morning fire has Santa’s elves a little sad.
The fire near Okaton destroyed a house belonging to long time Empire Mall Santa Dale Buxcel. All of his belongings were lost in the fire, except for what he brought to Sioux Falls for the season.
A go fund me page has been set up by the Murdo Fire Department to help Santa rebuild and replace what was lost in the fire.
Santa will still be making a list and checking it twice before Rudolph guides Santa’s sleigh around the world on Christmas morning.
