Stehly wants siding RFP committee; KELO.com News wants information

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- City Councilor Theresa Stehly wants to be appointed to the evaluation committee that would review responses to request for proposals concerning the structural integrity of the rippled panels on the west side of the Premier Center.

KELO.com News, meanwhile, wants all the information the the City Council plans to send out, utilize, review, and select the winner of the RFP.

In an email sent to Councilor Rick Kiley (see document here), Stehly yesterday requested to be appointed to the RFP review committee. Kiley responded, saying that the Council would "make our selections prior to the November 7 deadline," not directly replying to her request to named.

In response to Stehly's email, KELO.com News sent the following request to City Councilors.

"In addition to Councilor Stehly's request below, I would like to add that KELO.com News asks to be informed of who the RFP committee members will be, as well as to obtain a copy of the RFP, who has been or will be sent the RFP, copies of the RFP submissions once they are submitted by proposers, when and where the RFP committee plans to meet, any billing or costs associated with the RFP process, and a copy of any draft or final reports on the event center siding issue prepared by the RFP awardee."
