SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) The University of Sioux Falls will drop its tuition an eye-popping $10,000 across-the-board next year.

President Brett Bradfield calls it a tuition reset.

"The vast majority will see savings anywhere from $840 to $5,000." The range of savings is the result of shifts in USF's very generous grants and scholarships.

Bradfield says the reset brings the annual tuition of $27,980 down to $17,980.

Bradfield says that it's a meaningful step in addressing the rising cost of college tution. Most students will be going back to the future, paying the tuition costs of nearly ten years ago.

Bradfield is already getting great feedback from parents and students.

"I just got a note from a parent that said: 'wow, congratulations', and beyond that I just noticed that my daughter's bill next year is a $1,000 less."
