SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- An inmate at the State Penitentiary was charged today with attempting to smuggle a small amount of meth into the jail.
Spencer Brown was caught with a baggie containing .92 grams of Methamphetamine as he was returning to the Penitentiary back on January 28th. A guard observed the baggie dropping from Brown's hand before he was scanned on his way back to his cell.
The 48-year-old was sentenced to 5 years with 3 suspended for the incident. The additional sentence will run concurrent to his original sentence.
