SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) The historic State Theater, under ongoing restoration in downtown Sioux Falls, wants the public's help in solving a recent burglary.
A surveillance video posted on the State Theater Facebook page shows what looks like some young kids running through the building. Maybe you recognize them. If you do, or have any other tips, call the Police at 367-7000 or the State at 605-335-5757.
Theater officials believe the culprits may have hid in the building after a recent tour. They swiped valuable equipment and other objects.
The State is being restored little-by-little through donations. It's a painstaking and expensive undertaking. The theater on Phillips Avenue in the city's downtown was built in 1926, but hasn't been open on a regular basis for over 25 years.
The State is often called the "Last Jewell in the Crown of Historic Downtown."
