SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether wants Garth Brooks and the tens of thousands of people in for his concerts to feel at home on the range.
Huether is asking all businesses in the city to encourage their employees to wear cowboy hats and boots and other western attire on the next two Fridays.
"The world’s biggest touring event is happening in Sioux Falls, so let’s have some extra fun and kick up our boots, put on our jeans, and wear cowboy hats at work. Let’s make a memory, Sioux Falls!” says Mayor Huether.
City of Sioux Falls employees also might be seen wearing their hats and boots these two Fridays, all in the spirit of being part of the fun.
All nine Garth Brooks concerts are sold-out. The first is this Friday. Garth will be wearing his cowboy hat.
