SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- A Lincoln County grand jury today indicted 16 year old Jaden Lynn Carmel on charges connected with the shooting death of a 17 year old boy in Baker Park late last month.
Carmel is charged with aiding and abetting murder first degree, aiding and abetting robbery first degree, and aiding and abetting aggravated assault.
South Dakota law defines aiding and abetting as "Any person who, with the intent to promote or facilitate the commission of a crime, aids, abets, or advises another person in planning or committing the crime, is legally accountable, as a principal to the crime."
The charges are in adult court.
The Minnehaha County Sheriffs Office arrested Carmel without incident. He is being held on half a million dollars cash bond only.
Dylan Michael Holler, 18, of Sioux Falls, has previously been charged with murder first degree, robbery first degree, and aggravated assault in the incident.
