SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls PREMIER Rodeo is a newly sanctioned Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association event featuring elite pro rodeo all-star event in September.
The event is produced by Sutton Rodeo in Onida and Steve Sutton says it's time to bring "big time rodeo" to the biggest city in South Dakota.
Sutton says the Sioux Falls PREMIER Rodeo will be the last opportunity for athletes to qualify for the Wrangle National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas in December to crown the world champions of rodeo.
The seven PRCA events include bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc, tie down, barrel racing and bull riding.
Sutton Rodeo has enjoyed generations of success around the country, and in particular the Black Hills Stock Show Rodeo in Rapid City.
Tickets go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster. The PRCA event is set for September 16th and 17 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
