SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) -- Four candidates have announced their intent to run for one of four seats up for grabs on the Sioux Falls City Council next spring.
The Argus Leader announced last week that business owner Zach DeBoer will go after the Central District seat that will be vacated by Michelle Erpenbach.
Retired Sanford administrator John Paulson announced his candidacy for an At-Large seat early Tuesday. He's going after the seat that will be vacated by Rex Rolfing.
Both Paulson and DeBoer will be formally joined by Clara Hart and Thor Bardon on Wednesday. The pair will hold a joint news conference at the downtown Siouxland Library branch that morning to announce their intentions.
Bardon will go up against DeBoer in the Central District while Hart will join the At-Large race.
Both Erpenbach and Rolfing will be term-limited in 2018. Council Vice-Chair Christine Erickson and Chair Rick Kiley also have expiring terms next spring.
