Game, Fish and Parks says Lake Alvin is again open for swimming. Water samples taken earlier this week showed very low amounts of E.coli., according to the Argus Leader.
The lake was closed to swimming since early June, due to dangerous amounts of E.coli in the water. The lake remained open to fishing during the swimming ban.
