SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is proud to announce the launch of their new mobile app. The “Visit Sioux Falls” app, available in both Apple and Google Play app stores, utilizes gamification as the primary hook to get people to download the app.
“This new app will enhance the visitor experience in-market, while encouraging cross promotion within the city.” states Teri Schmidt, Executive Director of the CVB.
Upon downloading the app, users are asked to select their travel personas for the ability to complete various Adventures around Sioux Falls. These Adventures will take the users to many attractions, restaurants, shops, and places where they will be asked to complete a task of either answering a question, taking a photo, or checking-in via geolocation. Users will gain points for completing each task and will gain an entry for a chance to win a quarterly weekend giveaway at the completion of each adventure. The mobile app also incorporates things such as a Trip Planner, Social Gallery, Things to Do, and more.
