YANKTON, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- Much of South Dakota has received moderate to heavy rain over the last week, but is it enough to end the ongoing drought?
State Climatologist Laura Edwards says it will take a lot of rain to reverse the effects of the extended dry period.
Edwards says she doesn’t think we have seen the end of summer type temperatures.
She expects rain to be near normal over the next month.
