UNDATED (KELO AM) Aircrews from Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota are very much in the midst of the Korean crisis.

A B-1B bomber squadron from Ellsworth was recently deployed to Guam and two of the bombers took part in this week's aerial show of force over the Korean peninsula.

Communist North Korea has been nuclear sabre rattling.

A military press release says that the Ellsworth aircraft joined their counterparts from the Republic of Korea and Japanese air forces in sequenced bilateral missions.

It was a ten-hour mission and then the B-1's returned to Anderson Air Force Base, Guam.

Ellsworth B-1's were last sent to Guam from South Dakota in August 2016.
