WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO-AM) -- With the Senate failing to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, health care reform may be dead, at least for the time being.

The U.S. House had earlier passed their version of a repeal. Both versions turned out to be very unpopular.

South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem says people are not getting all the facts.

Noem says doing nothing is not a good solution.

Noem says while many opponents pointed to Medicaid cuts, those were misrepresented.

The House has adjourned for the August break, and will return after Labor Day.
