SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) The Token Liberal Todd Epp was needled on KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show Friday morning, as he often is, but not in the usual way.
Todd gave blood during the show's 'Rise and Shine' blood drive outside Camille's Sidewalk Cafe on 41st in Sioux Falls.
Greg joked that Todd cried like a baby when they stuck him with the needle in the bloodmobile, but Todd strongly defended himself.
"I am wearing a pink bandage where I got blood because I am that comfortable with my manhood."
And, no doubt, Todd enjoyed a peanut butter and bacon cookie for his efforts. The Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank was giving away the unusual cookies for all those who rolled up their sleeves. The cookies were provided by the South Dakota Pork Producers Council.
All blood donations at the 'Rise and Shine' will benefit the summer blood supply for local Sioux Falls hospitals. The summer is traditionally a slow time for blood donations.
