Two injured in rollover crash

Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Minehaha County Sheriff's office says alcohol and speed may have contributed to a rollover crash north of Sioux Falls that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

The crash was reported just before 1pm on Monday, officers say the vehicle was traveling north on LeMesa Drive and lost control on the gravel. The pickup hit the ditch and rolled, ejecting a male passenger. He suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital by Paramedics Plus.

The female driver was identified as 22 year old Vanessa Needles of Sioux Falls. She was wearing a seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries in the crash. Deputy's say alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash

The investigation into the crash continues, and charges against Needles are pending.
