SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether on Tuesday was making his final city budget address - and unlike past years, no bells and whistles were expected.
Budget times are tight. Mayor Huether was planning to outline a proposed 2018 spending blueprint that would stick to the fundamentals, meat and potatoes only, such as roads and public safety.
Huether has said that citizens want their tax dollars to go to the fundamentals even when revenue is tight.
This will be Huether's budget swan song since he leaves office in 2018.
