BRANDON, SD (KELO AM) – Two people died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred early Saturday morning near Brandon.
A 2002 Chevrolet CWSI and a 1998 Subaru Forester collided on Interstate 90 around 2:00 a.m., near mile marker 406. Both vehicles rolled into the north ditch.
The Subaru’s 38-year-old female driver and 44-year-old male passenger were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The third occupant, an 11-year-old female, received serious non-life threatening injuries.
A 39-year-old male, who was driving the Chevrolet, also was not wearing a seatbelt and received life-threatening injuries. Charges are pending.
Names of the four people are not being released pending notification of family members. They were the only people involved in the crash.
