SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) The Sioux Falls School District is expanding a program designed to teach kids how to better behave in class.
The school board has voted to expand the Tier 2 program to a seventh school in the District, Laura Wilder Elementary.
The children are taught social skills, such as accepting 'no' for an answer.
South Dakota's largest school system isn't the only one in the country dealing with increasing numbers of students who simply don't know how to behave in class. Teachers can find themselves spending valuable education time trying to solve discipline problems.
