WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO-AM) -- It could be an intense week of debate in Washington over the repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.
The Senate will consider their reform bill, and possibly vote on it before the end of the week.
A big part of it is aimed at Medicaid, with over eight hundred billion dollars in funding cuts over ten years.
South Dakota Senator John Thune says not all states have the same system.

Thune says the states know best how to protect their hospitals and nursing homes.
Up to two thirds of nursing home residents in South Dakota are funded through Medicaid.
