NEAR SIOUX FALLS. S.D. (KELO AM) Friday was the grand opening of the new visitor center at South Dakota's newest state park, Good Earth State Park, near Sioux Falls.
Speakers included tribal representatives, Gov. Dennis Daugaard and Jeff Scherschligt from the South Dakota Parks and Wildlife Foundation board.
The visitor center features an interactive Oneota culture exhibit, a state-of-the-art theater and a large classroom for park programs.
Walking trails at Good Earth lace through natural prairie areas and heavily wooded bluffs overlooking the Big Sioux River.
