SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO-AM) -- Head Start advocate Reynold Nesiba says that as much as the state needs to fund pre-K education, the whole education system is underfunded.
Nesiba, a Democratic state senator from Sioux Falls, says a number of lower income South Dakota children aren't ready for school and programs like Head Start help bridge the gap.
But also says it would cost $75 million to fund the program, so the state needs to look at new sources of revenue.
Nesiba spoke with KELO-AM's Todd Epp following Nesiba's appearance today on The Greg Belfrage Show.
