Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - It was a busy Friday night and Saturday morning for Sioux Falls Police.

Friday night, members of the Sioux Falls Police Department, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, and Paramedics Plus were dispatched to the 600 block of S Minnesota Ave.   A 32 year old male was located near the address with a cut to the neck.  The male was transported to an area hospital for treatment.  The injury was determined not to be life threatening. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of S. Center Ave for a report of a subject who had shot at two citizens.

The call started as an altercation near 37th St and Minnesota Ave.  The victims and suspect exchanged words as they were driving and the suspect displayed a firearm at the two victims.  They then followed the suspect at a distance and called 911.  The suspect drove to the 1000 block of S. Officers in the area located the male suspect leaving his vehicle near 22nd St and Center Ave.  The male was not compliant with officer’s commands and, after a brief stand-off with officers, a K-9 was deployed and the suspect was arrested.  He was found to be in possession of a pistol.  He was treated for minor injuries at the scene and then lodged at the Minnehaha County Jail.  He was uncooperative and his identity is pending further investigation.

Adult “John Doe” - Arrested for (2) counts of aggravated assault, reckless discharge of a firearm, concealed carry of a firearm, possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces), and obstructing law enforcement.  Further charges may be pending.
