Update: FOUND -Sculpturewalk piece missing

UPDATE 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 -

SculptureWalk Founder Jeff Hansen says two athletes from the University of Sioux Falls found the statue undamaged, in a downtown parking lot. 

Sioux Falls Police say they don't yet know who is responsible for the valuable piece of art being stolen. The investigation continues.

Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) - A downtown Sioux Falls statue has been stolen from the SculptureWalk.

Sioux Falls Police confirm that “Weathering the Storm” a piece by Alan Hone is missing from its pedestal on the east side of Phillips Ave. between 9th and 10th Street.

The statue is valued at $5,900.

Sioux Falls Police say they are not sure what day the piece went missing.
