SIOUX FALLS, S.D (KELO AM) - A 21-year-old Sioux Falls man suffered non-life threatening injuries in a motorcycle-pickup truck accident last night near West 41st Street and South Shirley Avenue.
Officer Sam Clemens says witnesses tell investigators that the motorcyclist was speeding prior to the hitting the pickup. He says the driver was turning into a business when he hit the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist was admitted to the hospital but Clemens couldn't say what his injuries are or what his current condition is.
Clemens says no charges have been filed and the investigation continues.
Meanwhile...A saturation patrol Friday night into Saturday morning netted 6 driving while intoxicated arrests.
Clemens says the extra officers gave out a total of 91 tickets including 14 for speeding. The extra patrol ran from 7 p.m. Friday into 3 a.m. Saturday.
