SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) After the basketball game this week between Washington High and Lincoln High, the bleachers cleared as both sides poured onto the court....to pray.
More than 100 students, fans, and parents from both schools gathered on their knees at center court to prayer for former Washington student, Kareem Sisse, 15, who died in a car crash last month. They also prayed for his brother, a Lincoln student, injured in the crash.
A parent posted a video of the unusual prayer meeting on her Facebook page. You can't hear what they're praying, but towards the end the "amen" is clear, and then everyone bursts into applause.
The Argus Leader reports that the big prayer huddle was a suddent inspiration of one of the students, who started texting all her friends, and they texted their friends.
