Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - On Thursday February 2, 2017, the Sioux Falls Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check of 27 off-sale businesses in Sioux Falls. Two of the businesses checked sold alcohol to a person under 21 years old. The businesses that failed the compliance check were:
Kota Korner 900 N. Sycamore Avenue
Hy-Vee Gas #6 1229 E. 57th Street.
The clerks that sold the alcohol were issued a summons with a mandatory court appearance. Businesses that fail compliance checks are subject to fines and suspension or loss of liquor license. In an effort to protect the youth of our community, the Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks.
