Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) - Crews from Sioux Falls, 4 communities and the Air National Guard battled a garage fire east of Wild Water West amusement park in Sioux Falls this evening.
The initial call of flames coming from a garage on Meadow Lane came in at around 6:15 Wednesday evening, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue quickly called for help from Tea, Lennox, Humboldt, and Hartford fire departments. The Air Guard Fire Department also was called in to help battle the blaze with their 2,000 gallon water tender truck.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Steve Fessler says crews had the blaze out in about 45 minutes.
As of about 10:30 Wednesday, crews were standing by looking out for flare-ups.
Paramedics Plus, Minnehaha County Sheriffs's Office and Red Cross were also on the scene. One person was observed for smoke inhalation. No injuries to responders were reported.
